Prof. Dionissios Hristopulos

We are proud to present one of invited speakers – Prof. Dionissios Hristopulos.

Many thanks go to Geostatistics Laboratory (Technical University of Crete) for supporting our Workshop.

Dionissios Hristopulos: My research focuses on new mathematical models in Spatial
Statistics by importing ideas on sparseness and local interactions from Statistical
Physics, as well as stochastic models of groundwater flow, the statistical analysis of
time series and earthquake recurrence intervals, statistical distributions of
mechanical strength in heterogeneous materials, geostatistical estimates of mineral
resources reserves, and kinetic models of grain growth with application in sintering
processes.
