INVITATION

Dear Colleagues,
I would like to cordially invite all scientists, researchers, PhD candidates and students who are interested in geostatistics - applied (spatial) statistics, to participate in the International Workshop on Geostatistics, which will be held in Wrocław (Poland), in the period from 22.01.2018 to 25.01.2018, at the Wroclaw University of Science and Technology, in the Computer Laboratory of the Center for Scientific and Technical Information.

Workshop topics:

Spatial analysis and applications in geological, mining and environmental problems
Case studies: mineral deposits, environmental risks, engineering geology, hydrogeology
Practical applications of geostatistical methods, using geostatistical software and real data

Lectures on geostatistics will be presented and practical computer exercises will be conducted on individual computers, during the Workshop.

The Geovariances Company from Avon-Cedex (France) will provide the Isatis geo-statistical software on individual computer workstations, allowing the participants to quickly master key procedures related to the use of basic geostatistical methods, during the Workshop.

The Workshop is addressed not only to PhD students and young researchers who are interested in learning methodologies related to geostatistical techniques, but also to experienced researchers to deepen their knowledge of these methods, thanks to the unique opportunity of listening the invited lecturers, who had gained rich practical experience during their research work.

Waiting for a fruitful and pleasant meeting in Wroclaw at Wroclaw University of Science and Technology

Best regards,
Chairman of the Organizing Committee of the Workshop on Geostatistics
Barbara Namysłowska-Wilczyńska
